"HIM WITH WHOM WE HAVE TO DO"
The final phrase of Hebrews 4:13 packs a punch and impacts everything we say and do as followers of Jesus. The full verse reads, “And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are open and laid bare to the eyes of Him with whom we have to do.”
to do Whatever happens in life, according to the Bible, it is about “Him with whom we have to do.” Our first impulse – deny, wish and run – bypasses “Him with whom we have to do.” Our second impulse – grumble, talk and fight – also bypasses “Him with who we have to do.” Our third impulse - manage the situation on our own – you guessed it, bypasses “Him with whom we have to do.”
do So why bypass Him altogether or consult Him on final impulse when, according to the Bible, life is about Him? God wants us to consult Him first (confer Matthew 6:31-34).
